About us — Qulendra

1. A brand built around daily use

Qulendra is an independent furniture brand created for online retail via Shopify and aimed primarily at the Italian market. The catalog includes bookcases and display cabinets, sideboards and storage furniture, kitchen organization solutions, and other panel-based or ready-to-assemble furniture.

The starting point is not an abstract definition of style, but how a piece of furniture is used throughout the day. A bookcase must hold rows of volumes without making it uncomfortable to consult the shelves. A sideboard must hold plates, glasses, tablecloths, and small items without imposing poorly usable internal spaces. A piece of kitchen furniture must be easy to clean regularly and be placed in an environment where steam, temperature fluctuations, and frequent use have more of an impact than in other rooms.

For this reason, the evaluation of an item starts with concrete elements: actual dimensions, usable depth, shelf spacing, load distribution, hardware type, opening method, compartment accessibility, number of packages, and assembly sequence. The confirmed characteristics for each product remain those indicated in the relevant product sheet; Qulendra does not attribute performance, materials, or treatments to a piece of furniture that are not expressly described.

2. Observing Italian domestic spaces

Many Italian homes require a measured use of space. In an apartment with an open-plan kitchen and living room, a storage unit serves more than just a storage function: it must also manage the visual transition between two areas, keep everyday items accessible, and not obstruct walkways.

In small rooms, a few centimeters can change the result. The depth of a sideboard affects the passage in front of the table; the height of a bookcase changes the amount of wall used; the swing of a door must be evaluated against nearby chairs, baseboards, and other furniture. This is why measurements are not treated as secondary data. The customer must be able to compare them with walls, doors, hallways, stairs, and elevators before ordering.

Internal organization also requires attention. A sideboard's compartments must be readable in relation to common household tableware: dinner plates, soup plates, glasses, mugs, trays, and tablecloths all have different heights and dimensions. When a product sheet indicates adjustable shelves, the adjustment is valuable mainly because it allows these items to be distributed without leaving unused space. When shelves are fixed, the declared internal distance becomes an element to be verified with particular care.

3. Bookcases: load, height, and real use

A bookcase is not evaluated solely based on the number of shelves. The ratio between the span width, panel thickness, usable depth, and the type of items to be placed on it matters.

A row of books can exert a continuous and concentrated load, which is very different from that produced by small decorative objects. For this reason, the weight capacity indicated in the product sheet should be read per individual shelf and respected in the overall distribution. Heavier volumes should be placed on the lower shelves, avoiding concentration on one side only.

The height between shelves affects the ability to store different formats. Novels, catalogs, binders, and illustrated volumes do not have the same dimensions. A useful internal arrangement should allow for the separation of formats without turning the upper part of the unit into an unreachable space.

When an anti-tip kit is provided, it is not considered a marginal accessory. Stability also depends on the wall, the type of wall plug, and proper installation. The instructions provided with the furniture must be followed, and the fixing system must be chosen based on the actual support surface.

4. Kitchens and environments subject to humidity

Furniture used near a kitchen requires a different evaluation than that placed in a study or bedroom. Steam, splashes, frequent cleaning, and accidental contact with liquids can affect edges, joints, and surfaces.

Panel edging serves to protect exposed parts and make contact with surfaces more uniform. However, no edge treatment should be interpreted as authorization to leave standing water on the furniture. Surfaces must be dried without delay and cleaned using methods compatible with the declared material.

In areas near sinks, stovetops, or heat sources, it is necessary to maintain adequate distance and follow maintenance instructions. A piece of furniture intended for kitchen organization must be considered as a furnishing and storage element, not as an waterproof surface or one resistant to any temperature, unless otherwise expressly stated in the product sheet.

The bottom edge also deserves attention. In case of floor cleaning, water should not be allowed to accumulate at the base of the furniture. The position of the feet or plinth, when present, affects ease of cleaning and protection of the bottom panels.

5. Sideboards, storage units, and hardware

In furniture opened multiple times a day, hardware affects the user experience more than the mere external appearance. Hinges, runners, handles, shelf supports, and fixing points must be mounted in the indicated position and tightened carefully, avoiding excessive force that could damage the panel.

The actual lifespan of a hinge or runner depends on the quality of the component, the weight of the door or drawer, the precision of the assembly, and the frequency of use. Qulendra does not attribute a specific number of opening cycles when such data is not included in the product sheet or technical documentation.

A rubbing door, a misaligned drawer, or a loose handle should not be compensated for by forcing the movement. It is better to stop using it, verify the alignment, and check the tightness of the specified points. If the problem is due to a missing, non-conforming, or defective component, the customer may contact customer service indicating the order number and the part involved.

6. Assembly as part of the furniture experience

For furniture provided as ready-to-assemble, the assembly process is not separate from the product design. Part numbering, sequence of operations, hole placement, and hardware distinction influence the final result.

Before starting, it is necessary to check that all packages have been delivered and that the listed components are present. Panels should be placed on a clean and protected surface, especially when glass, painted finishes, or exposed edges are present.

A screw inserted into the wrong hole, a rotated panel, or excessive tightening can cause irreversible damage. This is why it is useful to complete each step in the indicated order, without modifying the furniture or drilling unprescribed holes.

When assembly requires two people, this instruction relates to safety and proper handling, not just speed. Lifting wide panels or already assembled parts alone can deform joints, damage edges, or cause falls.

Floor delivery, unpacking, positioning, assembly, and wall mounting are not part of standard delivery, unless expressly stated and accepted in the individual order.

7. Information before purchase

Online sales require information to replace direct examination of the furniture as much as possible. For this reason, product sheets must be read considering measurements, declared materials, configuration, included components, assembly requirements, and maintenance instructions.

Contextual images help in understanding proportions and placement, but the perception of color, texture, and reflections may vary depending on the screen and lighting. Decorative items visible in the images are not included, unless expressly listed.

When information is critical to the purchase and is not clear, the customer can contact Qulendra before placing the order. Customer service can clarify available data, but should not attribute unconfirmed characteristics or replace the technical assessment required for walls, systems, or specific conditions of the home.

8. Orders, delivery, and post-sales management

Orders are normally prepared for shipment within 1-3 business days. After handover to the carrier, delivery is estimated in 5-11 business days. Shipments may be handled by USPS, DHL Express, UPS, or FedEx depending on the specifics of the order.

For orders under 188.99 EUR, the standard delivery cost is 18.99 EUR. For orders of 188.99 EUR or more, the standard delivery cost is 0 EUR. Prices include applicable taxes and, beyond any delivery cost indicated before the order, no further costs related to the purchase are applied.

Furniture may be divided into multiple packages to protect panels, doors, shelves, glass, and hardware. It is therefore possible that parts of the same order may arrive at different times.

The consumer may communicate their withdrawal without specifying the reason within 30 calendar days. When a refund is issued, the credit is normally visible within 3-6 business days, depending on the payment provider's technical processing times.

These operational details are not presented as distinctive features of the brand, but as terms that must be understandable before purchase and consistent during order management.

9. A relationship based on verifiable data

Qulendra avoids replacing concrete features with generic statements. When a product sheet indicates a dimension, load capacity, material, or maintenance method, that information should be usable by the customer to make a practical decision.

Likewise, when a technical specification is not available, it is not turned into a promise. Choosing a piece of furniture often requires comparing several factors: available space, frequency of use, weight of the objects, environmental conditions, accessibility, and the ability to assemble it correctly.

Qulendra’s role is to describe what is being sold in an understandable way, organize the order, and handle any issues based on the specific circumstances. The customer’s role is to read the available information, verify compatibility with their own space, and use the product according to the instructions provided.
